First of all, navigate to the “find your account page” on FB.  Now, users of FB will have to choose "Forgot password" from the login page.

To proceed, you simply mention your detail and then choose the "Search" button. With this, Facebook helps you to search by your name.

Now, Facebook will search for the email address or phone number that matches yours. After choosing the option of getting a code, you need to select "Continue".

From FB, users will get two options to receive your code- either text message or email. In this case, you will have to choose text message.

From the Facebook search matches, you’ll be able to see your profile picture. After seeing your profile picture, select "This is my account". If you are still not able to see then choose to select "I'm Not in this List".

Choose the FB account, and select “Continue”.

You must have got a code on your phone as a text. From here, you can mention a new password, and then tap on "Continue". This will help you change the new FB password.

Also, FB displays a message that asks you to log out of other devices. To do so, users of FB need to choose the option of "Logout of other devices" and then select "Continue".

2. Facebook account password recovery using FB mobile app

Whatever device you’ve, you can recover your lost Facebook account’s password.

This requires just a few steps that start with by clicking on the "Forgot Password" that you can see on the Facebook login screen.

Next, you just have to mention the name of your FB account. You can also input your username or email address to proceed for the FB password.

You’ll now have to select an option that says "Confirm via Text". Then, click on the button of "Continue".

Here, you’ll have to mention the code to reset your password.

In the next step, you can choose to be logged in or logged out. After selecting the option, tap "Continue".

Make sure to enter a new password for your Facebook password.

Lastly, click on "Continue" to get back your Facebook account.
